One Stop Services

The Coshocton County Department of Job and Family Services is dedicated to serving our community’s employment and training needs by providing a quality workforce.

Coshocton County Opportunity Links is the “One Stop” Jobs Service Center located at 725 Pine Street in the lower level of Coshocton County Job & Family Services.

The “One Stop” provides services to local businesses and employed and unemployed job seekers. Coshocton Opportunity Links works with county agencies to deliver a variety of employment and training services to meet the needs of our customers whether that customer is a leading industrial entity, a small family establishment or a recent graduate looking for a first job.

Job seekers can expect a wide array of services available to them as they search for that first job or look to improve their employment status. Job seekers have the opportunity for “One Stop” core services such as resume’ development, interview skills training, skills and aptitude testing, career counseling, job coaching and complete Job readiness development through a week long intensive “Job Club” or workshops developed based on the needs of the client.

Job seekers have available to them all the tools necessary to effectively prepare and apply for job opportunities. The “One Stop” is fully staffed with up-to-date office equipment and Internet access to state of the art computer systems loaded with training and job development software including the latest version of Microsoft’s Office Suite. Printers, fax machines, and a plethora of other tools for job search and development are available.

Interest inventories, and career exploration helps seekers with career planning. The “One Stop” provides work readiness credentials through WorkKeys assessment. WorkKeys is a workforce development system that measures foundational and personal skills that are valuable in today’s workforce. Clients earning credentials will have documented proof of the skill sets necessary to meet the needs of prospective employers.

Businesses and prospective employers can access services from the local “One Stop”. The staff at Coshocton Opportunity Links is prepared to assist any business that is seeking human resource assistance. They can expect employee selection support through the process of taking applications. The “One Stop” for companies will screen applicants based on a set criteria of standards. Employers may also request skills assessments of potential employee’s through the WorkKeys tools.

Coshocton Opportunity Links can help with employee recruitment through the Ohio Means Jobs initiative. ohiomeansjobs.com/omj is a website for employers to look for Ohio-based talent, post job opportunities, and integrate employment events into a single, cost free point of contact. Businesses are able to post jobs that will cover many search engines such as Monster.com. Coshocton Opportunity Links maintains a Job Board and hosts a radio show on the local radio station that companies can utilize for hiring purposes. We can help with or conduct job fairs and mass recruitments either at the “One Stop” at your location.

Coshocton Opportunity Links can provide referrals and help with training cost using OJT (on job training) funds available through various grants.
